The availability target, what is excluded from it, and the credit that applies when it is missed.
This is the only page on the site that states an availability commitment. Anything phrased as a service level anywhere else is marketing copy, not a contractual term.
The target
We target 99.9% monthly availability of the platform for paid hosting, email and server plans, measured per calendar month at our network edge.
Availability means the platform answers requests. It does not mean your application answers them correctly: an application that is down because of your own code, configuration, plugin, database or resource limit is not platform downtime.
Current platform status, incident history and maintenance announcements are published on the independent status page at status.hostna.com, which is monitored from outside our own infrastructure.
Free Hosting carries no availability target at all.
Excluded from the measurement
- planned maintenance, announced at least 48 hours in advance in the Client Area, ordinarily in a low-traffic window;
- emergency maintenance required to close a security hole, announced as far ahead as the circumstances allow;
- faults in your application, your code, your database, your plugins, or your own configuration;
- suspension for non-payment or under the Acceptable Use Policy;
- exhaustion of the resource limits of your plan;
- denial-of-service and other attacks, including isolation of your service to protect the platform;
- failures of networks, registries, registrars, certificate authorities and other third parties outside our control;
- force majeure.
Service credit
Where availability in a calendar month falls below the target for reasons that are not excluded above, you may claim a credit against the monthly fee of the affected service: 10% for availability below 99.9%, 25% below 99.0%, and 50% below 95.0%.
Claim in writing within 30 days of the end of the affected month, with the dates and times you observed. The credit is applied to your account balance and is the sole remedy for missing the availability target. Credits are not paid out in money and do not accumulate beyond one month of the affected fee.
The service credit does not limit liability where liability arises under section 11 of the Terms of Service — for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or under the Product Liability Act.
Support
Support runs through tickets in the Client Area, which is where the account context lives. We aim to respond to a ticket within one working day, and faster where a paid service is down. Support covers our side of the line described in the Shared Responsibility policy; it is not application development, not site repair, and not incident response.
